Soap-Making 2 Workshop: Swirling Saturday 10/26/24 - 2pm - 5pm

$125.00

** It is recommended that you take our Introduction to Soap-Making Workshop prior to attending.**

In this advanced workshop, you'll dive into two popular soap-swirling techniques: the in-the-pot swirl and the drop swirl. Using natural colorants, you'll master these methods to create beautifully layered and artistic designs in your soap bars. By the end of the session, you’ll have the skills to craft visually striking soaps with intricate patterns that are sure to impress. We only use pure vegetable oils and butters (palm-free), natural clays, essential oils and dried botanicals.

LEARN

Soap-Making I is a hands-on beginner’s workshop designed to guide you through every step of the cold-process soap-making method. You’ll gain a solid foundation in soap-making basics, including the science behind the process, the advantages of plant-based oils, and the all-important curing stage. By the end, you’ll have the knowledge to craft your own soaps at home with confidence.

CREATE

During this 3-hour introductory class, you’ll follow a simple, effective recipe using only pure, skin-nourishing ingredients—plant-based oils (free of palm oil), essential oils, distilled water, and sodium hydroxide (lye). You’ll personally pour a 2 lb batch of soap into a wooden mold, which you’ll take home. After the class, your soap will need to cure for 4 weeks before it's ready for use.

EXPERIENCE

In an increasingly digital world, the tangible act of crafting something by hand feels especially rewarding. What’s even more special is that the soap you create isn't just a keepsake—it’s a practical, everyday item you can use. Plus, with endless possibilities for customization, you’ll leave the workshop with a new skill that allows you to craft soaps—and heartfelt gifts—for years to come.

Fabulous Fun and Informative!!!

The candle-making workshop was really fun, and Romely and her husband explained every step of the process. We left with our beautiful and wonderfully-scented candles. I loved that it was a small group so we got individual attention when creating our candles.

Great experience!

My friend and I had a wonderful time making a candle and learning the science behind the difference between and well made candle and a junk candle. Who knew?! My only suggestion would be a little more communication leading up to the class to confirm the class is occurring, suggesting what to bring, etc. other than that, flawless! Thanks for having us.
